Very sturdy and heavy.Considered to be cheap in the 50s/60s.

  • Please explain this to me. Why is there a community of fan devotees? What is the draw? They basic electric motors driving rotors that move air. Why produce and post videos and study their history? What is the motivation here?

  • For me its the design and the fact that that these fans have survived this long and the reward of fixing and cleaning it.

  • YOU SUCK!

I paid $20 for mine! ...and it needs the cord and oscillator repaired!

  • I have a Koldair fan and it's old..

  • looks good :) nice videos

  • some collect stamps, some colect coins, and we collect fans.

  • woooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My zero runs a bit warm also but its very reliable as well.

  • Knapp Monarchs are actually underated. The motors on those typically run warm, but as long as you don't smell burning smells it should be fine.

I've got a KM Jack Frost which runs warm, but it'll run 24 hrs without issue,
