This is without question, the safest, and clearest, and most comprehensive and best video on the Field Dressing of Pheasants I have seen on YouTube, and I have watched over a dozen of them. Congratulations to the Rathcormac Gun Club.

Yesterday a young cock pheasant flew against our bedroom window and broke it's neck. Seemed a shame to waste it, though I'd not done any butchery before! Plucking was taking ages, and I was losing the will to go on. Then I saw this method, and it works brilliantly! There is a bit of tearing to the breast meat, not suprisingly, but otherwise quick and mess free. Do you think it would work on a Muntjac deer? A lot of them get knocked down on the roads around here. (Joke)
