This video of the elephants peacefully enjoying very warm spring weather was recorded from the path leading into Big Cat Falls.

I had to position my camera in an opening in a fence. (The Zoo was so crowded that it was very difficult to get in good viewing positions anywhere!)

  • I still wonder which one is the dominant elephant. They're both very different.

  • @awesomeH2O Does either have to be dominant? It appears that the needs of both are met so well that they can be equals.

  • @ZooVisitorMM True. I always thought that elephants usually have a dominance structure whenever there is a group. However, Kallie and Bette seem to be different than the other elephants in various zoos, since they've been together for a long time. Maybe they don't feel they have to be in charge.

  • Beautiful Kalle & Bette. Did you know the zoo plans to send them to the Pittsburg ICC for breeding. They are too old to be first time moms and the zoo is putting their health at-risk. They deserve sanctuary.
