I have a backwards compatible 80gb model? do u think it'll lag with backed up ps2 games?
it lags on disk..... will it play normal if on the hdd?

@HWSTC and others: Please read the faq at the link posted in the video description under the vid. You need a JAILBROKEN/ Modded LAUNCH PS3 "phat", a PC/Mac (to rip PS3 disks), "Swap Magic" (to fool the region encoding/copy protection I think) and a USB hard drive. This is so Phat PS3's can play ANY region PS2 games and/or play backups from an external drive, I think.

Does that swap magic cd/DVD has to be from the same region as the console itself or it ll work on any NTSC since its a hacking instrument.let's say if I bought a USA NTSC swap magic 3.8 and my ps3 is NTSC J it sucks that mine is japanese but would it work? on the account it's an overarching NTSC hack disk
