commonly known as Sonata Pathétique, was written in 1798 when the composer was 28 years old and published in 1799. Beethoven dedicated the work to his friend Prince Karl von Lichnowsky. Although commonly thought to be one of the few works to be named by the composer himself.
The Pathétique Sonata, one of Beethoven's most well-known works, is perhaps the earliest of Beethoven's compositions to achieve widespread and enduring popularity. It is widely represented on the concert programs and recordings of professional pianists.

  • 2:29 etc etc.

  • An excellent performance, Jules! You have plenty of reserves of power - useful for Beethoven! btw [a minor point] I prefer the mordents to be more clipped - and not triplets as you played them].

  • Fantastic !

Your performances are very enjoyable to watch.

Congratulations for getting to this level at such an early age !
