  • I see problem with your argument here. As stated in the video the deficit for 2010 was 1.5 trillion dollars. Make all the cuts suggested in the video and save up less than 300 million dollars. 1 trillion = 1 million x 1 million. So yea, that saves up about 0.0002% of the deficit. Yay!

  • @MrXyborg Unfortunately the video would have been much longer if we had included all the programs we think should be reformed! Visit SavingtheDream [dot] org for a comprehensive plan.

  • If the GOP gets power again, the Heritage Foundation will go back to ignoring out of control spending just like they did during the Bush era.

They only pretend to care about spending as a phony excuse to block reforms they and their self serving special interest buddies don't like.

I'm sure our founding fathers would look down upon the HF and see them as phony patriotis.

  • @Trollmaster21 Even a cursory look at our website would disprove your comment. We have be sounding the alarm about federal spending for years.

  • I love the liberal arguement that just because Bush spent too much that we should therefore Quadriple the spending and Bankrupt the country under Obama. Genuis! .

  • Walter Williams recently pointed out an interesting statistic regarding Social Security:

If you retired in 1980 ....you would have withdrawn all the money you ever contributed to Social Security within 3-4 years.

But if you started working in 1980 ....you would have to live until you were 92 just to BREAK EVEN on your contributions.

Hope you're eating your vegies and getting lots of exercise folks.

  • @rwoodward61 Well now in 2011, look at the facts. Bush's POLICIES have contributed $7 trillion to the national debt- with programs unpaid for, such as an invasion of Iraq, and invasion of Afghanistan, a perscription drug program, and huge tax cuts to the wrong people. Obama's POLICIES have contributed $1.4 trillion- $800 billion with the stimulus cleaning up Bush's mess, $250 billion extending Bush's tax cuts.

And Obama is in favor of increasing revenue as well!

    Yes, he is GENIUS!

  • Audit finds wasteful

    spending in DOJ events

Sept-20-2011--Details found in an audit from the Department of Justice's inspector general found over the course of two years, a staggering $121 million was spent on food and event planning, including $16 muffins and $8 cups of coffee.

  • @rwoodward61 I second that

  • last generation had trickle down economics. now, we have trickle up poverty.

  • The Heritage Foundation is funded by Koch Industries. Greenpeace lists The Heritage Foundation as "a conservative think tank with predetermined bias..."

Koch Industries is the second largest private company in America and the most politically active. These TeaPartyers spend millions each year attacking labor unions and environmental laws. While most of the country suffers through economic hard times, David and Charles Koch increased their personal wealth by $11 billion in the last 2 years.

  • @rwoodward61 I just exposed your total lack of patriotsim and that's all you came with?

Such an impotent response. If you're this impotent in RL, it's comforting to know you'll never breed.
