An interview with the (then) leader of the CPUSA, Gus Hall, and Jarvis Tyner. Moscow, USSR, Red Square, 7 November 1987 during the 70th anniversary celebrations of the October Revolution. Gus Hall speaks about the direction of the Soviet Union, and the upcoming INF treaty US President Ronald Reagan, and Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev will sign later in December of that year. Gus Hall was leader of the CPUSA from 1959 until his death in 2000. Jarvis Tyner is currently Vice Chairman of the CPUSA.

Communists are romantic people and these kinds of events were also very romantic. Sadly, reality was to hit us hard. I look at the faces of these people and I feel bad for them.
