The Celebration of the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 84th Birthday, December 5, 2011

An oil painting portraying the historic moment of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej with members of royal families from 25 countries at the Ananta Samakom Throne Hall on June 12, 2006.

Taveepong Limapornvanich, is a native of southern Thailand residing in Phuket. He attended Maur Hill-Mount Academy (formerly Maur Hill Prep School) in Atchison, Kansas, and graduated with honors from the Department of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Kansas, USA.

Taveepong has built an international reputation during more than 40 years as a painter, illustrator, designer and paper engineer for pop-up books. The author and illustrator of many books, his creative works and publications include "Drawing Techniques", "The Drawing Bible", "Watercolor Bible", "Thailand Sketchbook", "Watercolor Painting of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn", a "Watercolor Painting of The Great King of Thailand's 84th Birthday" and pop-up book of HM the King's Activities "The Soul of Siam", as well as many Thai pocket books of drawing and design.

One of his great achievements, "ASEAN: Portrait of a Community", was the official gift for ten ASEAN members at the 2009 ASEAN Summit in Hua Hin and Cha-am, Thailand.

Among his proudest achievements was his 1999 solo exhibition in Bangkok to commemorate the 72nd Birthday of His Majesty the King. The paintings were subsequently auctioned by Christie's in Thailand and the proceeds donated to the Royal Projects of Chai Pattana Foundation and the Sai Jai Thai Foundation.

Taveepong has completed this heartfelt oil painting to celebrate on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 84th Birthday and in the hope that viewers all over the world will understand and cherish His Majesty's benevolence towards His people and His country.

This must go down in history as the greatest depiction of the of Kings on canvass. Since the first king thousands of years ago, Taveepong the modern artist from Thailand has revived all the modern kings in all its crowning glory into the 21st century.
