you know, out of all the villains I've ever known, Davy Jones probably is my favourite. His design, his theme song, his ruthless and cruel personality and finally his background history make him so... human! He's so easy to relate to and you can feel the pain that turned him into the monster that he is now. Truly an amazingly and well written character.

@Jupsilon yea you're right at that point :) i just love the first three movies, but the fourth just had to be less good cause after the davy jones story there's almost nothing that can top that :'D

@schippes24 I know the character is based on the myth and all, but humanizing him was actually the hard thing to do. Show humanity a monster and they will forget him. Give the monster a background story and humanity will empathize with him. So, the monster is just like another human. One who suffered enough to push him over the edge. That's how you create a character, that's what Disney did!
