  • I have a question you might be able to answer. Say you've got a switch that is opened to make the incoming train move up to the curve part. Can a train coming in from the opposite direction on the straight part pass over the switch with no problem, or will it derail? I want to make a loop where the train comes in from the curve part, loop around on curved track, and come back out through the same switch on the straight track. Will it derail at the switch if I do that?

  • @cashcleaner As I responded to your comment to another video, the train switches are spring-loaded. This means that trains coming from the split direction can pass unhindered regardless of the state of the switch. You can easily see this by opening up the lego train switch.

LOL! Sorry for asking you the same question twice I clicked on this video after the first and assumed it was by a different person. Thanks for the info, I just picked up a new LEGO RC train but was unsure how I was going to lay-out the track with switches.
