IAT 337 - Representation and Fabrication Final Project
Our concept is to use gravity to power our kinetic sculpture and output a vertical wave. We have egg-shaped gears to translate turning motion into an up and down motion for the vertical wave. We used an existing gear from disassembling a screwdriver. This part only allows the pendulum motion to turn the egg gears in one direction (clock-wise) and prevents it to go backwards. To operate this kinetic sculpture you need 2 people to swing the pendulum in 2 opposite directions and letting go at the same time.
