I have been aware of all the hazards of antique car travel, I have come to the realization that one cannot live in fear of what might happen but if something does just deal with it. This was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had and I am glad that fear of what wrong thing might have stopped me. Anything can happen antique or not. When you are in an antique, things work out to be a lot more pleasant.

it's too bad more people do not do this with their old cars.... Beware though when you do... THIEVES are always out to steal someone else's joy! I worked at a company selling restoration parts and we used to have car shows... Every once and a while, you would hear about someone's car getting stolen from the show parking or at their accomodations. I always wanted to buy an old station wagon... Like a 1959 Mercury Colony Park and travel across the country in it for a summer vacation... Maybe.
