that gn will shit on mitsubishis all day. stock for stock, and mod for mod, i havent seen any road worthy 8 second mitsus but i have seen gn's that fast. gm wasnt messing around when they built those engines.

a GNX would be as fast as an Evo..... the fastest a stock evo has went in the 1/4 mile, and DOCUMENTED, is a 12.8 done by the Evo9 MR, and the average is 13.5 across the US bound 8, 9 and 10 LanEvos.

the fastest any GNX has seen a 1/4 mile is 13.5 as rated by Buick, and since the GNX is a highly sought after collectible, i havent seen anyone willing to put a REAL GNX on a track, i've only ever seen clones

@qwk6ix it IS an Evo... Evo9 MR to be exact.... notice the wider fenders, the EVO tailights (they are not a direct swap from a lancer or evo, different size and different shape)

the "sonic the hedgehog" roof diffuser (yes anyone can buy these in the aftermarket, but the OEM piece is actually functional and not a "stick on" install)

the red MR badge

and the very different shape of the rear bumper.

@suprbird theres plenty of 8second Evos running around all over the US..... the reason why they rarely see any track duty...... they dont have all the safety equipment, as most of the owners of these cars still drive them on the street and dont want a roll cage or small brakes or any other inconvenience safety items that is dictated

if i had an Evo9 and put $2k into it, it'd be running 11's as well..... the Evo9 MIVEC 4G engines are like crack addicts to mods.

My buddy had only put $1k into his Evo9 with a simple downpipe, ebay catback and ECU tuning and was running between 12.2-11.8@121, it now runs low 10's on a forward facing turbo setup.... and he daily drives it still, has about 110k miles on it
