Bill 183, 2011 vote that caused public outburst and lock down at the Ontario Legislature

A show of force by the Ontario Liberal Party to prevent Bill 183, 2011 an Act to amend the Ombudsman Act to allow investigations of Ontario's Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Children's Aid Societies, School Boards, Police and Universities.

Ontario is the only province not allowing investigations of these institutions and the Ontario NDP fully supported and introduced this Bill with some support of the PC but the Liberals still wouldn't let it pass.

Shame that the Liberals have chosen to permit and conceal the exploitation of defenceless children for unauthorized covert human experimentation. Seems like the Liberals have got too much to hide, which is evident when voting against this bill. Time to kick out the Liberals, when thier betrayal condones medical child abuse.

Had Bill 183 passed, so many of our vulnerable citizens would have finally been truly protected, including our frail elderly living in long term care homes. Shame on this Liberal government for refusing to allow our Ombudsman into these institutions we pay billions of dollars for, with no independent oversight. Meanwhile, all the other provinces are in the year 2011 and have the Ombudsman in. What is wrong with our government? Get rid of these bums on October 6th!
