this is a great piece and lang lang really played it to its best :) anyways i don't think this is extreme nationalism and stuff...i mean, people, think about it...it was WWII and people need something like this to boost their spirits to keep up the fight against fascism... and people please don't bias on this kind of stuff... history is history... besides, Chinese people consider the Yellow River their mother river... so this piece is very appropriate for that too :)

part of it was a master piece that was composed during WW2 to inspire people all over the China uprise against japs...

the other piece (you can easily tell..2 totally different mix-ups) was created solely for the purposes of deifying Mao...among other "epic works" (defined by the party), used for communism propaganda after the communism party took over, you can play/listen during the period of Chinese culture revolution.
