This was a copilation of a few videos. First was back in the Early 70's as a couple of Hang Glider pilots hike up to Glacier Point in Yosemite to fly off and land in the meadow. The original was shot on film by the Film-maker, Carl Boenish and the movie was called "Playground in the Sky". There are also some sections in this 10 minute video of a Pilot, "BOB WILLS" flying back in Hawaii on his Wills Wing 19 foot Standard, as well as some shots of Bob on his Wills Wing Standard back at Torrey Pines back in the 70's. There is a newer video that I shot back at Torrey Pines in 1990 with the newer gliders as a Pilot is silloutted against a cloudy sky flying his, at the time, HIGH PERFORMANCE glider. Enjoy the Video.
Thanks Dave. Awsome flying by the hero's of free flying.

I used to to fly Rogallos. (well it was great fun at the time!) When the Moyes Boys came to Mere, they only needed a' toe on the spot landing event. Steve Moyes, I think was intrigued by the black (Guiness Beer) in South Wales, where I saw hin flying Rhossili?

Hi Dave: That is some of the best Pioneer HG footage that I have ever seen. I have been converting some of my seventies film but the quality is not even close to yours. Check it out if you like. - cdnskydog channel. Best wishes, Bob Grant - London, Canada

all these low ushga numbers, so sad all those enthusiastic crouds and daring pilots. where are they? A very special time. Now nobody notices much or thinks we are crazy. long live the memories of the old and bold pioneers.

Great old footage, Dave! Bob Wills taught me to fly in Hawaii in 1972 on his old Bennet kite (just before he started Wills Wing). I became his first Wills Wing dealer in Hawaii. His flying was incredible! I now fly a Wills Wing Falcon 3 at Makapu'u, a magic carpet dream. Check out my hang glider video clips (old and new) on my YouTube channel: hawaiigliderman. Bob Wills is in there, too.
