it's funny because the american black accent is derived 100% from the southeastern accent you're mocking. people that talk "normal" can't tell the difference between black and southern speak.

not necessarily. there's not one particular black accent, if we may call it that, because black people of different upbringings from the same geographical area may speak drastically different. but, i know what you're saying. black texans sound drastically different from black louisianans. black californians sound extremely different from their counterparts from the north east. and there are several different accents in the north east, and new york has a few of its own.

Just like another viewer below wrote, I hope you know that ebonics is basically a lowland/coastal southern dialect that lost its regional specificity when black Americans moved all over the country. Have more respect for your southern roots.
