This version (Sex on the Rocks mix) is 1000 times better than either the original or the original unmixed Zombie cover. Both are flat and boring. This is the ONLY version where this song comes to life.

All those that like the KC version.... good for you. Quit complaining. KC got his cut from Zombie using his music. Although they probably should have paid Zombie for improving the song.

I would have been around 25 when the original version came out, and I thought KC and the Sunshine Band were deadly boring. I'm 62 now, and I think this version is a vast improvement. A heck of a lot more interesting, and it actually sounds a bit threatening--which seems to me to carry through the whole "Boogie Man" concept way better than KC's frat boy interpretation. I mean---who could feel threatened by KC? :-)
