CNN video of Jodie Foster giving an acceptance speech for the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award and thanking her longtime partner Cydney Bernard. This is her first public acknowledgment of Cydney and can be read as her coming out as gay.

Jodie thanked: "My beautiful Cydney who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss."

  • Doesn't matter one bit to me.Still think of her as a talented actress. Bi, Strait, Gay..

what she does in her bedroom is "her" business. I just like to see her act.

  • Congrats Jodi for coming out, it's a liberation isn't it?

  • @cubbycab i just found them two years ago ,she is my wift now*.*

  • what the hell is this?

  • Yeah, she thanks her 'beautiful Cydney' then just a few months later, dumps her for a younger model! (Wish it was me!)

  • omg! they are the only ones left! we MUST find them!

  • What is the point of intercutting garbage into this acceptance speech?

  • Hahaha, that's awesome! Is that from an actual thing, or was it made for this clip? because it's hilarious the way it is now!

  • The pressure actors/actresses are put under to be thin, beautiful and straight results in people hiding their sexuality. The Hollywood ideal is a farce and the most talented and beautiful actors are actually gay... surprise surprise! No one should feel guilty about something that is completely beyond their control. It's just sad that we live in a world where homosexuality is still frowned upon.

  • I can't think of a better actress than Jodie Foster.

  • @laylafatin I came from the same background, and faced the same things. Disowned by both Conservative Christian hypocrite parents. You know what? Best thing I ever did! There is no Hell, it's a construct used by people who like to frighten children and who are too stupid to understand science . . . religious people. It's YOUR life, NOT theirs. Live it as YOU see fit, don't hurt others, and it's all good. It's their loss, not yours.
