i am a filipino & this is one of our traditional martial arts... when i was in 1st year high school, it was part of our curriculum... each of us were given our own pair of sticks... it was really funny when some of my classmates get real serious with it that they ended up hitting & whipping each other... the next day, all sticks were confiscated & it almost came to a point where arnis classes were be banned coz... i guess it should always start with discipline & proper training

@kiko4685 you can catch it in real motion and execute the disarm but realistically you would bash the other guy or use other techniques to soften them up so many actions after the disarm are finishers. If you haven't tried Philippine Arts yet you should.

A few months back I was not blocking correctly so one of my instructors told me to block good and hit his stick pretty hard. Half assed it, took it to the mouth. Now Im blocking as hard as I can moving on the strike.

I got hit flushed in the temple with that fighting stick and bare the mark for whole week!!

If you can really catch the other guy's stick like that in real motion and disarm him, I'll beg that you accept me as your student and bow to you as my one and only teacher.

what kind of disarming is that?,.. i never see that disarming before the disarming i know is the striking disarm, traping disarm, and snaking disarm
