This session explores the role of OpenAL in a cross-platform audio engine developed by Codemasters Software for the latest installment of their renowned "Colin McRae" series of rally games. We'll pay special attention to the DSP capabilities offered by OpenAL's new Effects Extensions, and take a look at plans to enhance the API in future with new processing and routing options.
