So in conclusion, it just doesn't make any sense to even try at this point. There is honestly no reason to. Unless you are right and it is just to prove that they can. Except for the part they honestly just can't. Unless people care, the action wouldn't matter. They need to matter, but they're smart enough to know when they will fail, so they'll give up.

That's all it really amounts to anyway. They just want attention, after all.

In addition, if they ARE serious, which I seriously doubt, in their 'quest to rid people of the evils of facebook' nobody really wants facebook to go away. They say that they give our info to the CIA but the CIA kind of already has all the info on each and every individually registered person in the world.

And quite honestly I cannot for ANY reason see Anon wanting to help the masses.

Well, yes mostly what I mean is the obvious security upgrade that would ensue if Anon is giving them until freaking NOVEMBER, but also something a lot more important.

And I wish it were more obvious.

Even if they succeed, what will happen? Facebook will be down for a bit and some FBAddicts(myself shamefully included) will get moderately cheezed off. If their goal is to troll, as Anon often does, then they succeed and nobody gives two fucks other than a few 12yr olds

@RoxyTocin62210 I agree, I will say that it seems like a good idea for a target, however the video didn't seem like it was really from Anonymous, the voice was different, and something about the overall tone of the video, just seemed off, but I hope they do it.

re: the blackberry thing, can the british government really tell a company to suspend their service like that tho? who gives them that power?

Brickshaw is right, QRcodes are still so much easier than AR apps but the app would still have to be platform ready when you download it

Jenn do you think Layar Vision will have the platform compatibility and ease of use that QR codes have? I'm not sure they will. QR Codes are so easy bc your scanner is already platform-specific, so you know it will work wether your on an iphone droid or whatever. If and that's a big if the AR app has the same platform compatibility it could be cool. I know so many people who are still confused by AR but QR Codes are much easier to understand.
