Claims the Japanese are re-writing history have re-opened old wounds for the Chinese. But at the heart of the dispute is the struggle for dominance of the region.

It's impossible to justify Japan's reluctance to face it's second world war history," states Asian expert Juergen Kremb. Even today, many Japanese politicians dismiss events like the 1937 Nanking massacre as minor incidents. "The Japanese see themselves as the victims of the war and not the aggressor," states university professor Peter Pantzer. News that Japanese schoolbooks left out war crimes in China provoked a wave of anti-Japanese protests. But the real issue at stake is not only Japan's reluctance to confront its past. It's dominance of Asia. As Juergen Kremb explains: "You can't forget that China wants to be a world superpower and project its strength, but it is up against another world power in the region."

  • Hope you will recognize the pain and suffering and hatred of Japs by the Chinese. Japs did the aggression first against Korea and China. Canadian govt didn't KILL Japs in Canada but Japs did massacres in many chinese cities. There is just no comparison !

Don't try to water down the past and hope chinese will forget. They WON'T. If you marry a chinese girl, then good luck to you, because deep down in her heart, and her family's, you are a JAP, will remain a JAP and will support JAPAN like u do

  • it may seem so to you. In fact, nothing u & I say would make any difference anyway. Japs want to deny what they have done to neighbours, they want chinese to forget the past. Japanese children were taught half truth! So, we will move on but I doubt 1.5 billion chinese + koreans + vietnamese would likely simply forgive and FORGET. The scare from the stabbing wound will never 100%disappear nor will hatred to Japs.

It's upto Japs to show remorse, beg for forgiveness, repent,or face eventual wars!

  • @inboundsmist of couse not stupid!

  • You people miss the point. It's not that it happened, it's that modern Japanese are pretending it didn't happen. A lot of Japanese texts don't even mention Nanking or Shanghai.

  • @MrSunnylee Learn your history. Korea BEGGED Japan for help from the Chinese.

Moreover, these things cannoy be compared. You people are the reason for rising nationalism in BOTH countries. God damn Communists.

  • @asasasasdasas Chinese killing Chinese = Still OK. Japanese killing Chinese = Not OK. Haha!!! =) lol

  • @MrSunnylee You really are a hypocrite Mao and the communist party killed many more chinese then japanese ever did yet you can still go to tianamen square and give thanks to his corpse. Hypocrite.

  • The reunion of Taiwan and the Mainland will happen.Just be patient

  • if u kill ur own people is not as bad as the same as another group invading and killing your group of people.

  • Thanks to the Chinese prostitutes, who made boat loads of money from the Japanese tourists on September 18th. YOU GO GIRLS!

  • Japanese HIV Tainted Blood Scandal – 1980s

In this shocking incident, close to two thousand haemophilia patients in Japan contracted HIV after using non-heat treated blood products. The Health Ministry was criticized for not introducing heat-treated blood products that prevented spread of infection. After the incident, high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Health and Welfare were charged with involuntary manslaughter.

  • Sigh, pathetic Japs.
