2009 Gen Art Film Festival (Night 6 Premiere) "Picture Me" Filmed & edited by davidjr.com

Ole Schell follows model Sara Ziff for several years documenting her rise from a fresh face to one that adorns billboards and magazines around the world. In the process, Ole and Sara go behind the scenes and chronicle the glitzy world of high fashion modeling, from photo shoots with celebrated photographers to runway shows in New York, Milan, and Paris.

This intimate account features in-depth interviews with noted photographers and designers, but also relies on footage shot by the models themselves, giving voice to those who are often seen, but rarely heard.

(2011) Sara is currently working with Fordham's Fashion Law Institute to create the Model Alliance to help models advocate for better working conditions and create a code of conduct for the industry.

  • @fivestarchicken it's not only about wearing dresses and walking in a straight line. that's what the movie is all about, that there happens a lot more BEHIND the scenes that other people don't know about.

    moron.

  • @kkaylesss in some ways you are right ... i liked the film ... i worked in advertising for a while (and now work in the trades) and know that there is truth there ... but i think the message is more about "glamour is an illusion and often rotten and unfair" than about unappreciative young girls ... there is an extreme there that needs to be addressed ... i think sara and ole did a great job doing just that

  • this was the worst film I ever saw. Could have actually revealed something and had a point, instead just makes models look whiney and ungrateful. Try working construction for shit money

The fashion industry is a fantasy, but it still exists within reality, bad people exist and bad things happen. Ultimately, you made a shit ton of money and traveled the world while most American youth are working there ass off to pay for school, then graduate and still don't know what they want to be.

  • @fivestarchicken so true!!

  • @malone22 T'a vu le film au ciné? ou dans un site?

  • where can i see this movie please?

  • Try working 80+ hours a week in a factory in China for $60 US dollars and then see if you complain about having to wear dresses and walk in a straight line for $70,000.

    Morons.

  • This was such a good film. Every girl who dreams of modeling should see it because it shows the real side of the industry.
