@Theitisme400 Actually, the point is that he does *not* tense his muscles. He must relax. It requires quite a bit of training, and then there's the psychological part.
-
@taichinat Yes but in the first 1 or 2 years of your internal power development your master would tell you to avoid any overstrenous physical activity as the energy aquired from your qigong and neikung practices would go into making your muscles stronger instead of strengthening and concentrating the energy into the bone structure where jing is stored(ie internal power)

ooooooo....he can tense his stomach muscles.....ammaaaaaazing

@mrmasterkungable Yes Ive seen that one, i'ts very good- he has good Gong Fu
-
nice, but taiji means a bit different things...

@nitojo7 sure is dangerous for the untrained.
I got to withstand 3 of those jumps from an eight feet ladder, AND from a guy weighing at least 65 kg! myself...(something like 25 yrs ago). Then I was going thru a grading. Alternatively, one can also choose to take a van roll over one's tan tien. Its really was a breeze then.....and sadly... like u say blood, now!
Took me n the rest of my fellow bros. 2 1/2 yrs to be able to handle those feats.
Cheers
Northern siao lim with qigong

@penry1969 real taiji masters don't train muscles.
-
This is so dangerous and reminds me of the stupid backyard wrestling, I've practice Taoist Qigong for ten years doing xing yi nie gong and standing meditation and I,ve never seen or heard any one jumping on a person to test qi/ ying. What a bunch of bull shit, this guy must have shitted out blood after this video.

@mumpump practice makes them superhuman
1. The training for this is yin or "soft", slow and relaxed movement. The "yang" or muscle training comes later. There is no tension (unlike in much iron shirt techniques) so movement and fluidity is not compromised.
2. Many, many tai chi fakes have taken this to mean you don't train your muscles at all. Rubbish. You must have yin AND yang otherwise you have no balance.

@pavlakhspavlakhs Monks are no more superhuman than the rest of us, practice practice practice is the answer.
