Many of Tuamotu Api's costumes are made from local materials picked by the girls in the days leading up to our perfomances. All costumes are then assembled on the eve of every show by each dancer and their ohana.

I've been looking for a video on how to make the hip lei and have heard I would have to braid it but the knot method looks interesting. Is there a video on how to do this out yet?

i do the braid method ' take like forever' lol how do you do the knot method?' .. i only see cook islanders do the braiding method ; but i've never seen the knot method

to make ur ti' leaf skirt i usally do the braid method but i don't understand what the little girl is doing is she just doing a knot then slides over?
