It's very important to me to have someone help you with anything new in your life that is a major change.

Just like in the military, in Islam you should have a person who is the same gender and around your age to help you.

Someone to help adjust to the demands of your new life. So, my sisters and brothers, help those around you as you'd help the meek.

Some people try to run before they can walk, and some people expect others to run before they could walk. Take it one step at a time. Don't let people dampen your connection with Allaah.

On a lighter note, how do you find the shalwar qamees? Where I come from, the dupatta doubles as a hair-cover (hijaab) and as a fashion accessory: you put it on the head when you want to and don't when you don't. Quite handy.
