It was good to see the Drag again after having moved back to Sydney Australia in 1996. I lived at the very end of west 22nd Street for quite a few years and in Austin as a whole for 11 years. I forgot about all those churches! Never took notice in the FIRST place I guess.

BrianJConsidine - Well when you re-invent Atheism like that, sure, it's going to sound pointless. So why don't you ASK us, instead of telling us what we believe? Atheism is just living normally without religion. We have other beliefs. I contend that we have MORE beliefs than religious people, because we're not told to ignore opposing ideas. Leaving religion opened up a world of liberty and ideas to me. That's not nothing...

Such a sharp eye to catch my spelling mistakes but it really does mean nothing doesn't it since as an atheist that is the foundation of all you believe - nothing. What issues are there to debate when you believe in nothing. But I would like to know why nothing matters so much to you, after all that is the foundation of your belief system isn't it? When you remove God from the equation all you have is nothing.

I was born in Austin, and remember the names of some of these streets from when I was a kid. I visited there about 7 years ago. Holy shit, there are Scientology loons in Austin? WTF? I actually like the dischordant bells, there's something anachronistic about it.
