but the Barcelona one failed, the arrow did not land into the cauldron. it was fake.

Agree. I think Barcelona was less technical and showed a SKILL - which is what the Olympics embodies.

Every 4 years the hosting country tries to 1-Up the previous country. Which as a whole China did, but I still think the Barcelona Olympic Torch "Lighting" Ceremony by itself is still the best.
