  • how much it cost to build the engine ?

  • This particular engine was pretty much no expense spared, all steel, arrow rods, cosworth pistons, titanium flywheel etc etc so it was over 10k in parts.

You could build one on a smaller budget though.

  • Nice!!!! I am thinking of converting my A+ series engine to KAD 16v 1st stage but i would still like to use my mini daily. Do you use your mini daily with this engine? Do you have any problems?

  • I did for about 2 years yes, no problems apart from weak gearboxes - since I fitted the dog box there were no issues at all.

It was built right and it was built to be used daily, so I didn't skimp on parts. All steel bottom end, EN40b crank, arrow rods, cosworth pistons, titanium flywheel etc etc.

  • thanks man! I just want to use my mini daily and i want to see how it can be used with a KAD 16v conversion. And by the way something that i noticed now, where can i find your dashboard? Did you build it?

  • The dash came from Curley - one of their carbon fibre items.

they have been recorded and known for hitting 10,000 rpm. a truly magnificant car you have thier.

  • paaahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

  • Hello, I was wondering if I could achieve the same performance on my 1.0 litre City E by putting on a bigger exhaust and a replacement air filter? Would I also need to change the sparkplugs? I would of thought this would of given at least anither 40+ bhp?
