This is part one of four videos summarizing the geologic time scale in terms of geologic history both biological and terrestrial. Far from exhaustive, this video only tries to present a holistic view of general events, highlighting significant topics at the discretion of the author.
I find this super helpful and easy to understand. in my geo class we are forced to memorize all of the time periods w/out any info on them which in one word is difficult. i will be watching the rest of your videos preparing for the midterm.THANK YOU!

@puncheex: What is the most modern opinion on the supercontinents that presumably preceded Rodinia, like Columbia, Kenorland, Vaalbara and Ur? Rodinia didn't assemble until 1.1 bya, leaving 2.75 billion years in the gap between it and the end of the Hadean and the LHB. Certainly Rodinia couldn't have been the first, right? This engineer's curiosity will kill him in the end, I'm sure.

Pretty good video!
I have a special love for the Hadean Eon; so many interesting things happened in it: the final accretion, the moon creation event, the iron catastrophe, the acquisition of the Earth's water, the Late Heavy Bombardment, and the fact that a lot of what we know about this came not from the Earth, but from the Apollo moon rocks.
