Espgaluda (Stage 1, Tateha, 3.84mil)

Demonstration of the first stage of Cave's Espgaluda, with Tateha, scoring 3.84mil.

Tateha is considered by some to be the harder of the two selectable characters to play and score well with, due to the more awkward attacks she has in Kakusei Mode - with Ageha, pinpoint attacks can be done with Shot, while Tateha needs Laser, therefore a more controlled amount of damage-dealing needs to be done for most scoring sections.

With practice, however, Tateha can be just as high-scoring as Ageha, as her normal wide-ranged Shot makes gathering the required Kakusei Gems considerably easier.

There are three key sections where Gold collection will vary based on Kakusei timing and positioning - the midboss (after getting to 1/3 Overmode and then destroying both arms for Gold and Gems), the last large tank before the boss, and the section before the final large tank with the medium-sized flying enemy and the large cluster of smaller tanks.

A good target to aim for with Tateha is at least 900 Gold by the appearance of the boss.

Please tell me you can turn off voices? That's the very reason I prefer everything to be machines in shooters, better chance of them shutting the fuck up. I hate japanese voice overs.

By far my favorite CAVE game, and very well played. I love how the scoring system works. Makes me actually want to play for score, since it's nothing arcane or counter-intuitive like Mushi.

EXCELLENT play. I've only been playing bullet hells for a month so I only got out of any given stage with 100 some gold
