http://www.driver-coaching.com - Video is onboard from one of my coaching students Raed Raffii who is driving for MEEZER Group in the V8 Supercars Middle East Championship. He is driving a Class A car (similar to the Aussie V8s recently raced at Bathurst) on the Bahrain "Inner" Circuit. This is Raeds 2nd session and after only 20 minutes in the car, which he has never even sat in before, he sets the fastest lap of testing which was to stand all day.

Video/Data system used is the DL1 + VIDEO4 from Race Technology.

Green car is Front early on is Abdul-Aziz Al-Yaeesh, another student of mine who narrowly missed winning the Championship in 2008.

I will be bring you more onboards from the V8 Championship races in the near futures. Websites that may be of interest :

  • How does these V8supercars compare with the Australasian versions? putting out the same 635 + bhp?

  • @V8SilverFox - Hi, thanks for watching and your comment. The ME versions are not really in the same league as the Aussie V8s. In their 2011 guise the ME versions use the LSX engine, tuned to around 500bhp but the cars are quite heavy compared to the Aussie V8s also. The Aussie cars are a true work of art, have seen them close up, full carbon fibre and almost space-frame in construction. Raed has actually driven them, he did a test for Paul Morris in 2010.

  • @MaxxUK - The car in the video was with the stock Lumina engine with just exhaust and intake mods, no more than about 440-450bhp. Whilst the LSX engine has given them +50bhp it has also added about 50kgs and laptimes are pretty similar.

Check out some of the latest onboards. We are out in Bahrain next week supporting GPS, keep your eyes peeled for what I hope will be some great onboards.

  • Is that speedo MPH or KPH? im guessing MPH

  • @flumez - no, it's def kph, car reaches over 195 at the end of the inner circuit straight @ aroundd 1:10
