Fujitsu FM Towns "Marty" Intro

Unfortunately I don't have any software for this system yet so all I can show you in this video is the cd player and talk about some of the features.

Yeah, they did. If you think this is interesting, you should check out the Fujitsu FM Towns. That was the original and this is the 2nd version home console

How much did it cost you?I heard FM-Towns is one of the most rare consoles right now.

Picked it up for under $50 in really rough shape and no controler. Repaired the belt on the disk drive, bid on the net for a controler and put it back together for less than $100. You are right however, these systems are quite expensive. Usually run you around $200. Just got lucky I suppose.

You're right about that one and if you do find one, let's just hope it comes with a controler or you'll really have fun looking for one of those.

Yeah, that is probably one of the only ways to get games for it now unless you are willing to pay an arm and a leg like you said.

I've been reading about these consoles in the last issue of Retro Gamer and it's got me really intrigued. For the same selection of games that's available they seem to be some fantastic titles such as Splatterhouse, Tatsujin Ou etc...

I'd love to get a Marty 2 (prefer the colour scheme) some time, here's hoping!

I just picked one of these up and the CD laser is out. I have not been able to find a replacement anywhere. Have you had any issues with your system and do you know were I may be able to find a replacement CD laser?
