http://dynamicchiropracticmi.com Dr. Oz aired a segment featuring the spine and the causes of back pain. Dr. Oz explained that 80% of people experiencing back pain could benefit from visiting a chiropractor and receiving a chiropractic adjustment.
As an "evidence-based" MD i am willing to accept chiropractic as a valid treatment if i can get some evidence. Please post some links to studies showing its efficacy... Thank you
@abla7824 As an MD, Dr. Oz is doing what I do every day as a chiropratic doctor: Teach. "DoctorThe Latin word doctor translates to "teacher". In Dr. Oz, we witness the transformation of a hard core pharmaceutical dispensor to a "Real Doctor". Way to go Dr. Oz. By the way, the pre-requisite entrance requirements for chiropractic school exceeds that of medical school. The curricula for both chiropractic and medical school are very similar, with chiropractic having 500 more classroom hours.
@royns So what is "medicine"? Will it decompress and align the spine, freeing the nervous system so it may provide vital neural information to the tissues of the body? What did you expect Dr. Oz to do? Hide chiropractic from the people? Presently 45,000,000 Americans regularly utilize chiropractic, with 2,000,000 joining them each year. Everyone needs chiropractic care...including you.
Overall, I choose chiropractic care for ailments and get relief. Sure beats going to the conventional care which puts you through myriads of tests to "rule out" this and that ... usually coming up with NOTHING!
i don't have a problem with Dr Oz nor do i have with that chiropractor who seems like a nice guy but the so called medical information presented in this clip is wrong and misleading.
