A comparison of the facilities at the 58-year-old Lee County High School and the 5-year-old Southern Lee High School, both of which are located in Sanford, NC. Voters on Nov. 3, 2009, will decide on a .25-cent sales tax referendum that will, if approved, fund the more than $19 million in renovations at Lee County High School

  • I love my school the way it was Lee Senior all day...

  • This is comparing apples and oranges. You might as well compare an old lady, who has been neglected by her family and friends, to a young girl, who has every advantage in her life. The campuses are so totally different, not only in age, but also in layout. Anything left to the elements will deteriorate, especially after 58 years. Mr. Liggett also misspoke about which school is a hazard... pay attention!

  • I'm SO sick of hearing abou this. The money was there to fix that school but no one used it. Now all of a sudden that Southern has been built it's an issue. If people would have done what needed to be done when it needed to be done. The need for Southern would not have been there. There was barely enough money to fund field trips last year and now your asking people to waste tax dollars.

  • Damn!!! We Need funding
