Very special thanks to dear Julia2Night for her help with correcting the appalling number of mistakes I had made in the subtitles! ************

--------------------------------------- Enjoy this 13th episode of До свидания лето!Take a look at magnificent Moscow and lovely Leningrad during the Soviet days, when America was brainwashed into believing that Russians were all fat, depressed, draped in grey and starving, dying to leave the Soviet Union, planning to join a big ballet company so they could leave on tour and then defect, desperate for anything American, having no traditions or fun or celebrations or parties or happinesses...and see how wrong that dumb idea was! I have uploaded this for people who have set their hearts on learning Russian. Victims, oh, I mean, people who are studying Russian language need: many prayers, lots of patience, people to help them, kind and understanding teachers, family members who are handy with first aid kits and Advil, and every possible learning aid! 6 cases are nothing to sneeze at! ----------------------------------- The english narration has been left alone, but I have typed in the Russian dialogue as subtitles.I could have simply displayed the entire dialogue in the description box here, but thought it might be too distracting for some people to have to keep looking away from the screen and reading the text on the side. So it's on the screen for you. ---------------------------------- Visual quality is fuzzy. My apologies for that, too, but the original was fuzzy too and in a teeny tiny format. Making it larger does not help so I don't recommend opening the screen fully for viewing unless you really want to see the words appear larger. Anyway, the whole point is to learn Russian! It's not meant to blow your mind with brilliant photography:) -------------------------------------- This video is available for viewing freely, elsewhere on the internet, but without titles. I have added the titles in Russian for my own benefit and the benefit of anyone who finds watching films a helpful way to increase vocabulary and get used to the way things sound. This is a pleasant way to learn, and not painful! -----------------------------------

  • Just like a good American soap, nothing gets resolved and the plot thickens.
