It's really nice to get outdoors and try to find something that may or may not exist. We had a theory about the SW corner of RI - not the ocean corner with CT and NY, but a land crossing point with some kind of landmark. The old - pre-1938 end of Napatree Pt. works great. It's a place called Sandy Point (maybe), and the RI/CT line seems to cross it. What is this monument? Is it an old light or bell foundation? Remnants of a fortification of some kind? (sumarine net mooring?) It's a little excessive for simply a state boundry.
