You are right about greed..there is no security in any job..its all about the bottom line and thats money. I was fired not laid off cuz hospitals do not lay off..they terminate u to discourage u from drawing unemployment but u still get it after 8 wks..but that is a long hard 8 wks. The economy is rough right now but things will get better..it has to..& i do garden. Im from AR also. Im learning about self sustaining. Good luck to u.
