Ah yes, the Greens....they want to cut carbon emissions so badly, but won't lend their support to the easiest way of doing so - nuclear power. More ghastly wind farms (and more dead birds) and more woefully under strength solar plants is what they prescribe. That and good old fashioned Indulgences...err, I mean Carbon Credits, which enable guilty white liberals such as Al Gore to live in their mansions and fly in private jets while still preaching to the rest of us to take the bus to work.
The real critical point to worry about is when carbon uptake exceeds supply. Only wild bushfires are holding the CO2 level up. Fires in Australia, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, Portugal, Kenya, Canada, Indonesia, Nepal, Sweden, Norway the U.S. and more combine to dwarf 2009 industrial CO2.
Even with all that, the rate of rise has fallen to 1.4ppm for the last year. For the last month the seasonally corrected value fell 387.99ppm to 387.75. Regrowth after the fires mean uptake will increase.
There are no OCTOBER values in that and you have done no AVERAGING of the 2,3,4,5,6 year periods. Those are not taken from the OCTOBER MEAN values but from the first lazy page you could cut and past from. Which is why 1.80(false) not 1.66(mlo) 2008 figure.
1995 1.98 1996 1.07 1997 1.97 1998 2.91 1999 1.37 2000 1.24 2001 1.85 2002 2.40 2003 2.22 2004 1.62 2005 2.42 2006 1.77 2007 2.12 2008 1.80 We have been in an El Nino since april this year, you'll see once again a value higher than 2. FACTS.
no thank you. That site is a compendium of disinformation and assumes a conspiracy. Your NOAA data is false. I checked it and there is no decrease in the rate of rise.
Current levels are very bad for plant life. If you knew anything about science, that would seem obvious. Just freaking watch the video about that - watch?v=vFGU6qvkmTI Ignorance is a bitch...
Climate deniers are a threat to life on earth as we know it.
All strands of AGW-denialism should be exterminated as quickly as possible, via all means necessary.

Now search:
Mauna Loa CO2 monthly mean data
"Trends in carbon dioxide"
Scroll down to:
Mauna Loa CO2 monthly mean data
Then subtract the October mean values
384.38 - 382.98 = 1.4 ppm
(384.38 - 381.09) / 2 = 1.645

The pine beetles will be in decline now!

For more information on the 1940's pine beetle outbreak and the syergistic need for the pine beetle and trees to see climate change. Search for:
Forest Health
Wildfire and Beetle Kill Across the Rocky Mountains
For more information on the 1940 CO2 measurements search:
Klima 2009
Then click on "Papers & posts"
Category 4
"Accurate estimation of CO2 background level from near ground measurements at non-mixed environments"
In this document look at the Giessen measurements.

Excellent post well done!
That video proves a clear link between CO2 levels and the pine beetle.
Unshakeable truth!
So know we now what caused the similar out break in the 1940's. We also know why the hadley gang needed to hide the "1940's blip"
I hope greenman leaves that video on there!
It is interesting to note the beetle has been found help the trees in three ways.
1) Reduction of combustibility
2) Synergistic natural selection which is dependant on climate change!
