Lamin-X is pretty thick stuff and I can see where it an be tough on tight, curvy stuff, which I didn't have on my rides. Thanks for the response and film suggestions. Good to keep in mind.

Lamin-X film is excellent. I have used it on both glass and plastic lenses with 0% problems. They sell their film in various size rolls or precut sheets for specific models. They have it in smoked or dark tint, clear, yellow and blue shades. It's thick and durable and I have removed it with no problems. There may be a little of the adhesive left afterwards similar to the consistency of rubber cement. You can rub it rubs right off with a fingers and it balls up & just rolls off.. Very easy

@BionicKris the Lamin-X Film is so thick it does not wrap to extremely curved surfaces. It is very difficult to work with and expensive. After installing a tons of cars with the lamin-x we have since stopped using the product b/c of the number of people who returned with the film peeling from where it had stretched. Thanks for the input though! A great alternative to the lamin-x is the paint protection films available from LLumar and 3M they are malleable and can be wrapped on anything.

I've hear people complain when removing the tint, the lights get ruined? Have you had any problems?

@nolmt60 the vinyl doesnt ruine it when you remove it - the film will however warm the light housing causing it to melt! We no longer apply films to lights we recommend painting them
