Huwaida Arraf, Gaza Freedom Flotilla Organizer

Huwaida Arraf is a Palestinian-American lawyer, a co-founder of the International Solidarity Movement and helped organize the Freedom Flotilla to Gaza, which is aimed at challenging the Israeli embargo on the Strip. She spoke from Greece, one of the gathering points for the many multi-national ships carrying aid to Gaza.

The Greek government said Friday that it will allow none of the nine other boats in the flotilla to sail to Gaza because their mission is too dangerous. The flotilla members accuse the Greek government of buckling to pressure from the Israeli government.
