@TheFlyred - yep extremely lucky. My valued friend Graciela Casillas says: "We do not rise to the level of our ability. We fall to the level of our training."

@YANAGImartialarts 8 sides. extremely basic and important in judo. Not many players do much concern on this concept. u r very lucky to hve a japanese sensei =]

Anyone here know Keith Schwartz of St. Paul Minnesota?

Wow, incredibly technical breakdown.

@espm1000 - that's what it says - JUDO.

Look how he keeps his weight FORWARD on the front leg -- then a quick transfer while the sweep occurs but the weight stays forward. so he can take down the larger guy with his weight, not muscle. all you guys who posted negative comments have no idea what ur talking about. this is good stuff.

this crap only work if u have a thick jacket on.

Nice, very detailed instruction! Good job.
This is Judo, not jiu-jitsu. The Ouchi Gari would garner the attacker an ippon, and worst case scenario in self-defense is in the street if you fall between the guys legs you're going to rain down a few blows.

@anon69 - my sensei in Japan always said there are 8 sides to every technique -- this is only one.
