It won't taste like Grey Goose because Goose has things added to it when it's made that aren't added for the cheap stuff. Filtering cheap stuff only takes things out, but it's still missing the subtleties that make top shelf vodka so much better (and expensive). That being said, filtering it makes it taste so much better. Walmart sells raw carbon for fish filters for $6 that work for ~4 or 5 gallons. Carbon + a PVC pipe and you've got yourself a filter that is much cheaper than a Brita.
