Sam Seder takes on the New Jersey Gov's one-sided interview with 60 Minutes last night. According to AFL-CIO NowBlog, "60 Minutes" producers never even contacted the AFL-CIO for input or comments. AFSCME President Gerald McEntee says Christie "is more interested in scoring political points than solving state and local budget challenges and getting the economy moving."

The fact is, hundreds of thousands of public employees, just like private-sector employees, have been laid off and taken pay and benefit cuts --- even as Wall Street executives lined their pockets with taxpayer money and took home huge bonuses. And as [the "60 Minutes" report] noted, much of the pension problem stems from the fact that politicians did not contribute to their pension funds. via newjerseynewsroom.com http://majority.fm

  • The thing I love about Sam, is that he is never afraid to remind everyone why he is an obscure internet radio show host. I would love to see Sam actually try to debate someone credible.

  • This guy is the ultimate idiot. He said the gov was right about there being a budget problem but right after that he says he should have taken out loans to prop up the local economy. Dont know about you but when I have an income problem I dont go and buy a new house. Then he goes on a rant about wanting rich peoples money.I bet he would be in favor of a federal subsidized project that would dig the biggest hole in the world. Very short sited and no economic principles.Waisted 6 minutes of my day

  • @cskipper65 Your right, he is all over the place. Get loans when their in debt, that is why their in the condition they are in now. These libs are just so ignorant..

  • @s2mikey OK but always fly airline with union employees

  • hope christie get slow stomach cancer.....fat piece of shit that he is...

  • @jers59 Look - we dont see eye to eye on this so lets just let it die. You do your union thing and I'll do my privately employed non-union thing. Thats the end of that.

  • @Gtjg88 I rather fly with happy 400K paid pilot then miserble $19.000 pilot just out of flight school and whose last job was stacking shelves in supermarket as Buffalo pilot was

  • @s2mikey And who was president? Another republican union hating moron george bush who ignored all the warnings then invaded Iraq a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 another trillion dollars and 4000 more dead americans. I noticed you said nothing about christie demanding the NYPD be investigated for checking on muslims in New Jersey where 1993 WTC terrorist came from and some of 9/11 terrorist and appointing to NJ bench muslim lawyer who represented terrorist arrested after 9/11

  • @jers59 3,000+ other people also died on 911 because Muslamic apes decided to fly planes into buildings. Nice try though. Public education is a joke and everyone that isnt in some education union knows that. They are ripping off the parents and cheating the kids. Real good. Just throw more money at the problem. Right. Meanwhile other nations spend a 1/4 of what we do and get 5x the results. Period. Oh, and fireman shouldnt have taken the job if they dont like the risks. Nor should cops.

  • @jer59

I agree. I want pilots making more money too. But for years pilots were making 350-400k a year with 90-100% pensions and had to retire at 60. That only works for one generation. I think a 150-200k salary is fair, with a more realistic pension like 50% of average salary. That is much more affordable. My brother actually dropped out of pilot school because it cost 100k for college but your pay starting was only like 18k a year so iit wasn't worth it.

  • @Gtjg88 Lets pay pilots $19.000 a year fly long hours as pilots who crashed in Buffalo about 2 years ago flying for commuter airline were. I fly to europe about 4 times a year and I want pilots and mechanics flight attendants well paid , have excellant pension and well qualified, not some non union pilot who just graduated from acme flying school as pilots who crashed in Buffalo were

  • @jers59 physical for either job. It was christie who appointed to bench in New Jersey muslim lawyer who is for sharia and represented muslim terrorist suspects arrested after 9/11/01
