  • stupid hippies,.. get education idiots,.. world would be cleaner and beater place with out liberals,...

  • You can't compare NZ with Aus. NZ has bucketloads of sustainable alternatives all in an area the size of Victoria... However Australia cannot escape the reality of the future of solar power, especially them redneck Queenslanders... Time to change guys !! Rugby league is going down, and so is the coal industry with it. Time to grow a little outside your cultural "island"...

  • hey i go to the place across the lake from there! but never noticed it for some reason

  • that was brave as hell!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I don't see Australia phasing out coal any time soon. You're 90% fossil fuel, and only a goal of 20% renewable by 2020. Here in New Zealand we're already at least 60% renewable maybe as much as 70% with a goal of 90% renewable by 2020. There is also just one coal power station in the whole country. I don't know how many there used to be but I do know one was stopped from being re-started (Marsden B) and another has been demolished. There is also a ban on new fossil fueled power stations.
