Here is some advice.....

If there is a drum sequence or loop.....you don't have to play everything note for note......Just play a groove that fits and feels good within the drum programming

another thing....Less is more....Don't do so many chops especially on a MJ song....Place your chops when it's appropiate....it's your job to make people dance

BTW that's a nice Pearl Kit....what series is it...Is it from the Master Series?
