At a secret location in East Oakland on Sunday October 7th, Hard Knock Radio, Youth Speaks, Samurai Graphix, and the Eastside Arts Alliance helped organize the First Annual Living Word Graffiti Battle. Legends of the Bay Area scene showed up, and many formal rivals painted side by side. The word chosen for the battle was WORD. These videos document the creative process of urban aerosol artists as they throw down on behalf of the Living Word Festival. Big ups to Estria Miyashiro and Jason Mateo for leading the charge!
