this isn't what the punisher is about. he's not a wisecracking action star, he's a depressed and homicidal hero. search for daken vs punisher on youtube. the whole thing is better than this and its a comic.
i'm serious the previous punisher film was better in every way, if you took out the crying.

All the punisher films have their good points, but they all seem to miss the mark. I still think they haven't done the character justice. Looks like the studios still play it safe and don't spend on this character like they do Ironman or Spiderman. And the spinning around on the light while shooting was a bit dorky as well. I also think Stevenson is a bit too small to play the character.

Ray Stevenson by far was the best casting choice for Frank Castle. It wasn't his fault that the movie didn't do as well as it should have. The Punisher needs a director similar to Quenton Tarantino and Martin Scorsese put together. Unfortunately there will never be a great Punisher movie done until Marvel Studios do it themselves. The only way to redeem The Punisher for now is cameo him in upcoming Marvel Studios movies.

Best Punisher movie EVER!!! I swear they really need a sequel for this film. I don't care if it's straight too DVD or in theaters as long as Ray Stevenson and it's based on the max comics I DON'T CARE! And btw this film did not deserve so many negative reviews! If anything this film was JUST for the fans not to plessure hollywoods balls with money

This movie was awesome. I loved it. Better than the other Punisher films and is the best depiction of the punisher yet. Also, why did people expect a "Titanic" scale film here? It is not a drama it is a hard hitting Action film for the fans of the Punisher!
