31.05.11
Fugitive former minister of defense Irakli Okruashvili has voiced yet another allegation against Georgian government, accusing the authorities of cooperation with North Caucasian insurgents.
In a documentary the Metastases, broadcast on Russian state television, former minister, who currently resides in France as a political refugee, alleged that Georgian intelligence closely cooperated with North Caucasian insurgents. Okruashvili alleged that Achimez Gochiaev, one of the organizers of the Moscow and Volgodonski explosions, was several times given a corridor by Georgian government to cross the Georgia-Russia border. Okruashvili asserts the Interior Ministry of Georgia was assigned to organize the transportation of the insurgents.
`Gochiaev has been given a possibility to move through Georgia. I am a witness of one of such facts. The Ministry of Interior was assigned to provide their transportation towards Dagestan and Turkey and back again,` Okruashvili said.
